⚠️ Warns
Give members warnings with a number of their own in your server, see their history, and let Vaqun apply sanctions when someone reaches a number of warnings.
Warn someone
/warn @member [reason]: the reason is optional unless your server requires one. Without one, the warning shows "No reason provided". You can attach a screenshot as evidence.- From a member's or a message's menu: Apps → Warn user, or Apps → Warn author on a message, which attaches that message as evidence (its link and the start of its text).
Every warning gets the next number in your server (#1, #2…). Numbers are never reused, even after a warning is removed.
The reply guides the moderator. From the second active warning (you can change the number), it says how many active warnings the member has, with a History button, and what the next automatic sanction will be. If a warning would kick or ban the member, the moderator confirms first; cancelling creates no warning.
See and manage warnings
/warnings @member(or.warns): their warnings, active, expired and removed, and how close they are to the next sanction./warn-info 42: one warning in full, including the sanction it applied and who removed it./warn-edit 42 new reason: change the reason. The previous one is kept./unwarn 42 [reason]and/unwarn-all @member [reason]: remove warnings. They stay in the history as removed, with who removed them and why./warns-recent [moderator] [state]: the latest warnings in the server./mywarns: members see their own warnings, only for them (your server can turn this off).
Who can use them: anyone with Moderate Members, plus the roles you choose on the dashboard. Members with an immune role, the server owner and bots can't be warned.
Automatic sanctions
On the dashboard, Moderation → Warns → Automatic sanctions. Start from a preset (Gentle, Standard or Strict) or build your own rules: at 3 warnings → timeout 1 hour.
- A rule applies once when a member reaches its number. Removing warnings below it lets it apply again the next time.
- Actions: timeout (up to 28 days), kick, ban (permanent or for a time; Vaqun lifts a temporary ban by itself), add or remove a role, or just notify your moderators.
- Repeat every N applies the rule again every N warnings past its number.
- Reset after marks the warnings that counted as used once the sanction is applied, so the count starts again. They stay in the history.
- If several rules apply at once, Vaqun applies the harshest of timeout, kick and ban, and every role change and notice unless the member is kicked or banned.
- Vaqun never sanctions the server owner, itself, members with an immune role, or members whose role is above its own. When a sanction can't be applied (a missing permission, for example), the warning is still recorded and the moderator is told why.
The DM and the log
The warned member gets a DM with your server's name, the reason, the warning's number and how many active warnings they have (you can turn it off). If their DMs are closed, the moderator is told. The moderator's name is hidden from the member unless you show it.
Warnings, removals, edits and automatic sanctions are posted to the log channel you choose, or to your server's moderation log (Logs → Server logs).
The Warnings list
Moderation → Warns → Warnings lists every warning, with filters by member, moderator, state and date. Open one to see everything about it, change its reason or remove it, or add a warning from there.
Free and Premium
Free: every command, the numbers, the DM, the moderator guidance, the confirmation before kicks and bans, evidence, /mywarns, the log and up to 3 automatic rules.
Premium for the server adds up to 15 rules, rules over a time window (3 warnings within 7 days), warning points (each warning weighs 1 to 10), warnings that expire, a custom DM, reason presets and CSV export. If Premium ends, everything stays saved and the first 3 rules without a window keep working.
