🖼️ Captions

Put a meme caption on top of an image or GIF: a white banner with bold black text, centered, above the picture. GIFs stay animated, with the same speed and size.

Which image

.caption <text> (or /caption text:) uses, in this order:

• An image attached to the command (or the slash command's image).
• The message you reply to, if it has an image.
• Otherwise the newest image in the last few messages of the channel.

PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF work. Videos, animated WebP and GIFs pasted as Tenor or Giphy links don't: upload the GIF file instead.

The text

Up to 200 characters, with line breaks, accents and emoji (custom ones too). Mentions become names, and nothing in a caption pings anyone. The text gets as big as it can while staying a few lines tall.

Limits

Files up to 10 MB; GIFs up to 1280 px per side and 400 frames. If the result is bigger than the server's upload limit, Vaqun makes it smaller (and says so). Each person can make one caption every few seconds.
