💎 Boosts

Thank the members who boost your server, and reward them. Set it up on the dashboard: Members → Boosts.

The thank-you message

The Boost message tab works like Welcome: a channel, an embed you write (Simple shows just the text, Advanced the whole embed), or on Premium an image card, with a live preview. Besides {user}, {username}, {tag}, {server} and {members} it knows:

  • {boosts}: the server's boosts, and {boost_plural}: "boost" or "boosts" for that number
  • {boost_level}: the server's level (0-3), and {boosts_next}: boosts left to the next level
  • {member_boosts}: how many times this member has boosted

Send a test posts it in its channel with you as the booster. /testboost shows it where you are, with a dry run of the rewards: what they'd give and anything Vaqun couldn't give.

On Premium, the Unboost message tab posts a message when someone stops boosting.

Rewards

Turn on Give rewards and the DM, then add rewards. Each says when it applies and what it gives:

  • On boosting, after a number of boosts, or after months boosting (anniversaries: 3 months, a year...)
  • Roles, the server's currency (with Economy on) and XP (with Leveling on)
  • On every boost (repeatable, at most once a week per member), and take the roles back when they stop boosting (off by default)

Each reward is given once per member: currency and XP are never paid twice, even if Discord repeats an event or Vaqun restarts. A role above Vaqun's own can't be chosen, and a role with moderator or admin permissions needs an explicit confirmation. A currency or XP multiplier while boosting: give Discord's own Server Booster role a multiplier in Economy or Leveling.

Thank them by DM sends the booster a message with what they got (people with closed DMs are skipped).

Free and Premium

Free: the message as an embed, the test, the DM, one reward with one role, taking it back on unboost, and /boosters. Premium: the image card, the unboost message, up to 15 rewards with up to 5 roles each, tiers by boosts and months, currency and XP, repeatable rewards, and the rewards log.

Good to know

/boosters lists who boosts, since when and how many boosts. Discord announces each boost in the server's system channel when Server Settings → System Messages has boost messages on: with them off, a member's second or third boost can't be counted (the first still is). Discord doesn't announce removing one of several boosts, only stopping completely.
