🔤 Command aliases
With Premium on your account, you can give some personal commands your own trigger words: nnn instead of .nowplaying, p2 instead of .play. Your aliases are yours: they work in every server with Vaqun (and in DMs, where the command does), only for you, and change nothing for anyone else.
Set them up in the dashboard: your name at the top right → Command aliases.
Using them
- With the prefix:
.nnnrunsnowplaying, and everything after the alias works exactly as with the command (.p2 never gonna give you up). - Without prefix (off unless you turn it on, per alias): the alias also works as the first word of your own message, with no prefix. It needs at least 2 characters, and only ever fires on your messages.
- Slash commands keep their names: Discord registers them for everyone, so they can't be renamed per person.
An alias is just another way to type the command: the server's command settings, permissions, cooldowns and Premium requirements apply as usual.
Which commands
Personal ones: nowplaying, lastfm, spotifytrack, spotifyalbum, play, profile, avatar, avatars, banner, names, userinfo, afk, balance, daily, tokens, clearnames and clearavatars. Commands that moderate or configure a server can't have aliases.
Rules
- One word, up to 16 characters: letters, numbers and
_ - ! ? + * $ % & ~ ^ =. Upper and lower case are the same. - Up to 3 per command and 25 in all.
- It can't be a Vaqun command or one of its aliases, or a reserved word like
fix. If Vaqun later adds a command with the same name as your alias, the command wins, and the dashboard tells you to rename it. - If your Premium ends, your aliases are paused, not deleted, and work again when it's back.
