💬 Quotes
Turn a message into a quote card: the author's avatar fading into a dark background, the text in the middle, and their name under it.
Three ways
- Reply to a message with
.quote: it quotes that message, by its author. - Right-click a message (or long-press on mobile) → Apps → Quote: the same, for slash-command users.
- Type the text:
.quote somethingor/quote text:makes a card of your own words.
Typed text is always attributed to whoever ran the command. To quote someone else, quote one of their real messages: nobody can make a card of you "saying" something you never said.
What it shows
Mentions become names (@Ana, #general, @Mods), Markdown symbols are removed, and emoji (custom ones too) are drawn as images. Nothing in a card pings anyone. Long quotes shrink to fit and end with "…". A message with only images, stickers or files has nothing to quote.
You can only quote messages from the channel you're in. Each person can make one card every few seconds.
